JOHN "JJ" JERMAN

ASID, ASSOCIATE AIA, FOUNDER, PRESIDENT

JJ is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Architecture and Design and attended FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York. With over 22 years of experience in architecture and interiors, he brings added value to his clients regarding workplace strategies.

Corporate clients for workplace planning and design include The Coca-Cola Company, IBM, Hewlett Packard, McKinsey & Company, Ernst & Young Consulting, Accenture, Sun Microsystems, USPS and FBI. JJ was associate principal and Director of Interiors for Perkins & Will before leaving to work in the office furniture center environment. He eventually started his own dealership in Chattanooga in 2008. Since then, the dealership has grown every year and now occupies 90,000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space, complete with a fleet of trucks and delivery vehicles used by their in-house installation team. JJ’s philosophy has been for their dealership to be more consultative and less about sales to help their clients get the product that best meets their functional needs and budget.

JJ is an Eagle Scout, and he sits on the board of the BSA Cherokee Council as VP of Development. He is also active in the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce and serves as president of BOMA and as an executive team member of CMGMA.

BEVERLY JERMAN

VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, PRINCIPAL

Beverly is a graduate of Southern Adventist University in Nursing and has over 10 years’ experience in nursing. Her experience includes intensive care Charge Nurse at Loma Linda Medical Center in California and Intensive Care in the GI department at Memorial Hospital. Beverly also worked as a commercial real estate agent helping clients find and negotiate commercial office, retail, and warehouse facilities.

After leaving nursing she joined JJ as the VP of Business Development where she works with the sales team on lead generation, networking and community involvement for the office furniture center. Beverly’s real estate experience brings added value to the dealership customers who are looking to acquire or negotiate real estate agreements. Beverly is a resource to support those clients with her industry knowledge and contacts. Beverly’s customer care philosophy extends from her extensive nursing background and her ability to listen, show empathy and her active problem-solving skills, which together have built a strong culture of customer service with all team members of the dealership.

Beverly actively networks within the community through her Chamber involvement and engagement with women’s networking groups. Beverly has a strong commitment to community and works to enhance the neighborhood where our facility is located.

MARK KLEINER

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mark hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and grew up in the Chattanooga area. He graduated from The Baylor School in 1994 and from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. He earned his master’s degree in Political Science in 2002.

Upon completion of his studies, Mark began his career in the public sector with county government as a grants planner, where he acquired a deep knowledge of subsidized industrial infrastructure development. He then transitioned into the private sector for a Brazilian multi-national manufacturing company, where he utilized his languages (Portuguese, Spanish) and financial background. Mark rose to be US Operations Manager and experienced a domestic buyout of the operation in 2010. As a result of the acquisition, he joined the receiving bank in the transaction as a Commercial Banker. After spending six years in the banking industry, Mark was delighted to join his client, Office Furniture Works, as Chief Financial Officer in 2017.

When Mark is not absorbed in company business, he is actively volunteering in the community. Mark has served as past Treasurer of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s FUSE program, a multi-million-dollar DOJ grant program. He is also currently on the National Advisory Board of the Charles H. Coolidge Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, TN, where he has served for over 13 years. He also serves as Trustee and District chair of the Cherokee Area Boy Scouts of America, as well as being a little league soccer coach.  Mark’s favorite role, however, is being husband to Heather and dad to Mark Jr. and Maria.
